research expedition to China, which lasted four weeks, was characterised
by two main phases: the participation in the "Sino-Italian Workshop
on Karst and Caves of Guizhou" in Guiyang and the direct research
on the territory by the Italian and Chinese scientific and technical
personnel. This second phase carried out in the area of Honglin was
developed along five main lines: geographical-territorial investigations; geological and hydrogeological research; biological research; mapping of the karstic cavities explored; geomechanical survey. In order to better understand the reality of the territory and aboveall the problems linked to location, availability and management of the water resources of Honglin, contact with the local authorities wa made. |
