The zones of interest to the “China Caves ‘94”
project are situated in the Guangxi (Gongcheng County) and Guizhou (Shuicheng
County) regions. These regions of great beauty and impressive scenery
may be considered among the most characteristic karstic areas of eastern
Asia. Unfortunately, the weather was quite wet during the “China
Caves ‘94” expedition which created severe problems: the
daily temperature varied between 18° C and 35° C and humidity
was always greater than 80%. |
